The research of the AtlanTICC Alliance is divided into three themes:

B2B3 (Biomass to Biopower, Biofuels and Bioproducts)
Materials for Energy
Enabling Technologies

Each theme has a Theme Leader and two Theme Champions (one based at each institution). Their role is to:

• Ensure communication flow between the Board and within the theme
• Coordinate and integrate all theme projects into one cohesive scientific programme
• Ensure the delivery of cohesive scientific programmes
• Ensuring that all projects, new and existing, address AtlanTICC core criteria and key aims
